A simulator to help everyday people better understand not only climate change solutions but the knock on effects, has been launched by MIT and non-profit Climate Initiatives.
En-ROADS allows users to adjust a variety of options and actions in a bid to tackle climate change and halt rising global temperatures. From taxes to subsidies to investments, the simulator covers a host of sectors and shows in real time the varying effects.
Additional targets, such as sea level rises and greenhouse gas concentration also helps give a better picture.
The hope is that the simulator will help people from all walks of life understand the climate challenge we face today and supports a more interactive approach to their understanding.
